An incurable explorer, I love to discover new restaurants, places, activities, people and curiosities in my own back yard and far-flung parts of the world. These are some of them.

i+i is a stylish contemporary jewellery line featuring delicate everyday pieces, imbued with understated elegance. Set up by the achingly cool Kirsty Patterson while she was living in India, i+i offers feminine but edgy designs that can be added together in layers, or worn as individual classics. What I particularly love about Kirsty's pieces is that they're designed not to be taken off - most are gold rather than gold plate - so if you work out a lot, you don't have to worry about taking them on and off. Full disclosure, my quarter-life crisis of adding several holes to my ears was probably just because I wanted to wear more i+i earrings! www.iandijewellery.com
The beckford arms, wiltshire
Anywhere that has boardgames and books next to a roaring fire, wellies to borrow, miniature milk bottles left outside your door daily and Classic FM playing as you walk into your room is obviously very good news. There are many, justifiably wonderful reviews of The Beckford Arms which will tell you about their phenomenal food, luxurious rooms and delightful staff, but it is also an awesome destination for fitness fiends as it's set on 10,000 acres of outstandingly beautiful land that is the Fonthill Estate. All you need to do is grab a pair of those wellies and go. www.beckfordarms.com
